Hettich FurnTech was faced with the challenge of providing over 1,000 employees worldwide with central and easy access to information within the company without granting all of them access to systems like SAP.

The task

The Hettich international competence network now offers dynamic and personalised access to all important information based on the RedDot CMS and the RedDot LiveServer while also integrating data from the most varied sources under one central interface at the same time. Each employee can only view the information for which he or she is authorised via central rights management.

Data integration with RedDot LiveServer

Besides dynamic personalisation and rights management, one of the essential strengths of the RedDot LiveServer is the easy integration of data from other systems. Sales-relevant data like stock information is queried via the SAP Business Connector, delivered to the RedDot LiveServer via XML and displayed personalised online.

Integration of catalog data
Via the ecomplexx Product Importer, all Hettich products are imported to the RedDot CMS from a BMECat export of the catalog management system, created as pages there and linked with the corresponding entries in the catalog. This way, the online editor in RedDot CMS can easily allocate additional content and documents to each product.
